Lörrach is a city located in southwest Germany within the valley of the Wiese. It is situated in close proximity to the borders of both France and Switzerland and serves as the district seat for the district of Lörrach in the state of Baden-Württemberg.

The city has experienced significant population growth over the last century, increasing from 10,794 residents in 1905 to a current population of over 50,000. It is home to several large employers, most notably the Milka chocolate factory owned by Mondelez International.
