Lauda-Königshofen is a town located in the Main-Tauber district of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated on the river Tauber, positioned approximately 7 km southeast of Tauberbischofsheim and 30 km southwest of Würzburg.
The area features a traditional village known as Königshofen, which contains roughly 300 houses dating from the 16th century to the mid-19th century. The town is notable for hosting the Königshöfer Messe, an annual festival with a history of over 500 years that attracts approximately 150,000 people over a 10-day period.
Transportation infrastructure in the area includes Lauda station, which serves as a junction for the Franconia Railway and the Tauber Valley Railway.
