Kraichtal is a town located in the north-eastern region of the Karlsruhe district within the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It serves as a local administrative center for its surrounding area.
The municipality was officially founded in 1971 following the merger of nine smaller neighboring municipalities. This consolidation formed the current administrative structure of the town.
