Köngen is a municipality located in the district of Esslingen within the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Geographically, it is situated approximately nine kilometers from the district city of Esslingen am Neckar and about six kilometers away from Nürtingen.
The town is an integral part of the Stuttgart Region and falls under the jurisdiction of the European Stuttgart Metropolitan Region.
