Ettlingen is a town located in the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) south of the city of Karlsruhe and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) from the border with the Bas-Rhin department in France.
The town serves as the second largest municipality within the district of Karlsruhe, following Bruchsal.
