Dußlingen is a municipality located in the district of Tübingen within the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The settlement's historical records first mention it as "villa Tuzzilinga" in the year 888. Subsequent records show variations of its name, including Tuzzelingen in 1135 and Tusselingen in 1216.
The name Dußlingen is derived from the personal name Tuzzilo combined with the old Alemannic suffix "-ingen." The area possesses a rich archaeological history, evidenced by various artifacts recovered from multiple periods, including the Stone Age, the Hallstatt age, the Latene period, and the Roman era.
