Bad Mergentheim is a town located in the Main-Tauber-Kreis district within the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It has a population of approximately 23,000 residents.
The town gained official recognition as a spa town in 1926. Historically, it served as the headquarters of the Teutonic Order for nearly three centuries, from 1526 until 1809.
