Zlín is a city located in the Czech Republic with a population of approximately 75,000 inhabitants. It serves as the seat of the Zlín Region and is situated along the Dřevnice River.
The city is recognized as an industrial center, where modern development was closely linked to the Bata Shoes company and its social scheme established after World War I. Due to this history, a significant portion of Zlín is considered architecturally and urbanistically valuable, and it is currently protected as an urban monument zone.
