Děčín is a city located in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It serves as a significant municipality with a population of approximately 46,000 inhabitants and holds the distinction of being the seventh largest municipality in the country by area.

The city is situated at the confluence of the Elbe and Ploučnice rivers near the border with Germany. Its geographical position is notable for being located on the boundary of two protected landscape areas.
