Beroun is a town located in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has a population of approximately 22,000 inhabitants and is situated at the confluence of the Berounka and Litavka rivers.
The town forms a conurbation with Králův Dvůr, which was formerly part of Beroun. Its historic town centre remains well preserved and is officially protected as an urban monument zone.
