Tymvou

Cyprus

Tymbou is a village located in the central Mesaoria plain of Cyprus. It currently falls under the control of Northern Cyprus and belongs to the Turkish Armed Forces.

Historically, the village was inhabited exclusively by Greek Cypriots after 1960, with a population of 1,288 recorded in 1973. Following the Turkish Invasion of Cyprus in 1974, the original inhabitants fled the area. As of 2011, the village had a population of 384.
