Stroumpi, also known as Stroumbi, is a small village situated in the central Paphos District of Cyprus. It is located approximately halfway between the towns of Paphos and Polis. The name of the village is believed to originate from either its founder, a man named "Stroumpos," or the specific shape of the surrounding hills.
The village is notable for hosting an annual wine festival called "Dionysia" at the end of August. This event is named after Dionysos, the ancient Greek god of wine, and takes place next to the central square where the Ayias Sophias church is located. Additionally, the village was once home to a volleyball team named "Dionysos," which competed in the Cypriot top league before becoming defunct.
