Sia is an Australian singer and songwriter who was born and raised in Adelaide. She began her professional career in the mid-1990s as a vocalist for the acid jazz band Crisp. Following the group's disbandment in 1997, she released her debut studio album, OnlySee, in Australia.
After moving to London, Sia provided vocals for the English duo Zero 7. She subsequently released her second studio album, Healing Is Difficult, in 2001, followed by her third studio album, Colour the Small One, in 2004.
