Sarama

Sarama is a city located in Cyprus.

The name Sarama is also associated with Hindu mythology, where it refers to Devashuni, a female dog of the gods. According to the Rig Veda, one of Hinduism's earliest texts, Sarama assisted the king of the gods, Indra, in recovering divine cows that had been stolen by the Panis asuras.

The legend of Sarama is referenced in several later Hindu texts and is frequently associated with Indra. Additionally, the epic Mahabharata and various Puranas contain brief references to her character.
