Pano Platres, also known as Platres, is a mountainous village located in the Limassol district of Cyprus. It is situated on the southern slopes of the Troodos Mountains, approximately 25 kilometers northwest of Limassol and 45 kilometers southwest of Nicosia. The village is recognized as one of the primary wine villages in the region.
As the principal hill resort of Cyprus, Platres serves as a significant destination for tourism, with its population swelling from fewer than 300 residents to as many as 10,000 during peak seasons. The village is historically significant, having been documented among the 119 villages of the Limassol district during both the Lusignan and Venetian Eras.
