Cyprus

Kormakitis is a small village located in Cyprus that currently falls under the de facto control of Northern Cyprus. It is recognized as one of four traditionally Maronite villages on the island, alongside Asomatos, Agia Marina, and Karpaseia.

The local population follows the Catholic Maronite Church and maintains a distinct linguistic heritage. Residents traditionally speak Cypriot Maronite Arabic (CMA) in addition to Greek and, more recently, Turkish.
