Morphou is a town located in the northwestern region of Cyprus. It currently falls under the de facto control of Northern Cyprus.
Historically, Morphou was primarily a Greek Cypriot community prior to the 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus. Following these events, the demographic shifted, and the town is now inhabited by Turkish Cypriots.
