Monte Vermelho is a settlement located in the southeastern region of the island of Fogo, Cape Verde. It is situated at an elevation of approximately 400 meters above sea level.
The village is positioned near several other local landmarks, specifically 3 km east of Fonte Aleixo, 3 km southwest of Figueira Pavão, and 6 km southwest of Cova Figueira. It lies roughly 19 km southeast of the island's capital city, São Filipe. According to the 2010 census, Monte Vermelho had a population of 221 residents.
