Hortelã is a settlement located in the western region of the island of São Nicolau in Cape Verde. It is situated at the southern foot of Monte Gordo, positioned approximately 5 kilometers north of Tarrafal de São Nicolau and 6 kilometers west of Ribeira Brava.
As of 2010, the population of Hortelã was recorded as 181 residents. The settlement serves as a small residential area within the island's geographical landscape.
