Tarrafal de São Nicolau is a city located in the western part of the island of São Nicolau in Cape Verde. Situated on the west coast, it is positioned approximately 9 km southwest of Ribeira Brava.
As the most populous settlement on the island with a population of 3,733, the city serves as the seat of the Tarrafal de São Nicolau Municipality. It also functions as the primary port for the island.
