Marianao is one of the 15 municipalities or boroughs located within the city of Havana, Cuba. Established in 1830, it is situated approximately 10 kilometres southwest of the original city center and is linked to that area by the Marianao railway.
The municipality is characterized by its location on a range of hills reaching about 1500 metres above sea level. It is notably recognized for its salubrious climate. As of 2022, the population of Marianao was recorded at 134,057.
