Liberia is a country located on the West African coast. It is bordered by Sierra Leone to the northwest, Guinea to the north, Ivory Coast to the east, and the Atlantic Ocean to the south and southwest.
The nation covers an area of approximately 43,000 square miles (111,369 km2) and has a population of around 5.5 million people. While English is the official language, more than 20 indigenous languages are spoken throughout the country, reflecting its diverse ethnic and cultural landscape.
The capital and largest city of Liberia is Monrovia.
