Zorro is a fictional character created in 1919 by American pulp writer Johnston McCulley. The character appears in various works set in the Pueblo de Los Ángeles in Alta California.
Typically portrayed as a dashing masked vigilante, Zorro defends commoners and Indigenous peoples against corrupt officials and other villains. While there is a city named Zorro in Colombia, it is distinct from this literary figure.
