Filadelfia is the capital city of the Boquerón Department, located in the Gran Chaco region of western Paraguay. It serves as the central hub of the Fernheim Colony and is situated approximately 450 kilometers (280 miles) northwest of the national capital, Asunción.
The city has a population of about 20,000 residents, making it the largest town within a 400-kilometer radius. Filadelfia accounts for nearly one-third of the total population of the Boquerón Department.
