Villa de Leyva, also known as Villa de Leiva, is a touristic colonial town and municipality located in the Ricaurte Province of the Boyacá Department in Colombia. The town is situated approximately 37 kilometres west of Tunja, the departmental capital, and is reachable by car or bus from Bogotá in about three hours.
Recognized as a Colombian National Heritage Town, Villa de Leyva is notable for its colonial architecture and historical significance. It currently appears on the tentative list for UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
