Ventaquemada is a town and municipality located in the Central Boyacá Province of the Colombian department of Boyacá. It is situated on the Altiplano Cundiboyacense within the Eastern Ranges of the Colombian Andes at an altitude of 2,630 metres (8,630 ft).
The municipality is positioned approximately 98 kilometres (61 mi) from Bogotá and 29 kilometres (18 mi) from Tunja, the departmental capital. It shares borders with several neighboring municipalities, including Tunja and Samacá to the north, Boyacá, Jenesano, and Nuevo Colón to the east, Turmequé and Villapinzón to the south, and Guachetá, Lenguazaque, and Villapinzón to the west.
