Úmbita is a town and municipality located in the Márquez Province of the Boyacá department in Colombia. It is situated on the Altiplano Cundiboyacense at an altitude ranging between 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) and 3,400 metres (11,200 ft).
The municipality is positioned approximately 70 kilometres (43 mi) from the departmental capital of Tunja. It shares borders with Nuevo Colón and Tibaná to the north, Chinavita to the east, La Capilla and Tibiritá in Cundinamarca to the south, and Villapinzón and Turmequé to the west.
