Tenza is a town and municipality located in the subregion of the Eastern Boyacá Province within the Colombian department of Boyacá. It is situated in an area known as the Tenza Valley, where altitudes range from 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) to 2,200 metres (7,200 ft).
The municipality shares borders with several neighboring areas: La Capilla and Pachavita to the north, Sutatenza to the south, and Garagoa to the east. It also borders the department of Cundinamarca along its eastern side.
