Sutatenza is a town and municipality located in the Eastern Boyacá Province of the department of Boyacá, Colombia. It serves as a local administrative center within the region.
The municipality is situated approximately 125 kilometres (78 mi) from Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, and 118 kilometres (73 mi) from Tunja, the departmental capital. Sutatenza shares borders with the neighboring municipalities of Somondoco, Guateque, Tenza, and Garagoa.
