Sutamarchán is a town and municipality located in the Ricaurte Province within the department of Boyacá, Colombia. It is situated on the Altiplano Cundiboyacense at a distance of approximately 44 kilometres (27 miles) from Tunja, which serves as the departmental capital.
The municipality shares borders with several neighboring areas: Santa Sofía to the north, Sáchica and Villa de Leyva to the east, Saboyá to the west, and Ráquira and Tinjacá to the south.
