Soatá is a town and municipality located in the Boyacá Department of Colombia. It serves as the capital of the Northern Boyacá Province and is situated on the western slopes of the Cordillera Oriental mountain range at the northeast end of its department.
The municipality shares borders with several neighboring regions, including Boavita to the east, Tipacoque to the north, and Susacón to the south. To the west, Soatá borders the municipality of Onzaga in the department of Santander.
