Moniquirá is a town and municipality located in the Boyacá Department of Colombia. It is situated within the subregion of the Ricaurte Province.
The municipality borders San José de Pare to the north, Togüí and Arcabuco to the east, and Gachantivá and Santa Sofia to the south. To the west, it shares a border with the department of Santander.
Moniquirá is notably recognized for its local culinary specialties, specifically its "bocadillos" and "panelitas de leche."
