Guayatá is a town and municipality located in the Eastern Boyacá Province within the Colombian department of Boyacá. It is situated on the Altiplano Cundiboyacense, positioned approximately 129 kilometres (80 mi) from the departmental capital of Tunja and 132 kilometres (82 mi) from Bogotá, the national capital of Colombia.
The urban center of Guayatá sits at an altitude of 1,767 metres (5,797 ft). The surrounding geographical area features a varied elevation range, spanning from 1,270 metres (4,170 ft) to 3,080 metres (10,100 ft).
