Gachantivá is a town and municipality located in the Ricaurte Province within the Colombian department of Boyacá. It is situated on the Altiplano Cundiboyacense at altitudes ranging from 2,000 metres (6,600 ft) to 3,300 metres (10,800 ft).
The municipality shares borders with several neighboring towns: Villa de Leyva to the south, Santa Sofía to the west, Arcabuco to the east, and Moniquirá to the north.
