Cuítiva is a town and municipality located in the Sugamuxi Province of the Boyacá department in Colombia. The urban center of the municipality is situated on the Altiplano Cundiboyacense at an elevation of 2,750 metres (9,020 ft), approximately 85 kilometres (53 mi) from the departmental capital, Tunja.
The geography of the municipality features altitudes ranging between 2,727 metres (8,947 ft) and 3,200 metres (10,500 ft). Cuítiva shares borders with Iza to the north, Sogamoso to the east, Aquitania to the west, and Tota to the south.
