Cucaita is a municipality located in the Central Boyacá Province of the Boyacá Department in Colombia. The urban center of the municipality is situated on the Altiplano Cundiboyacense, positioned approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) from Tunja, which serves as the department capital.
The geographical boundaries of Cucaita are defined by neighboring municipalities: it borders Sora to the north, Tunja to the east and south, and Samacá to the south and west.
