Chivor is a town and municipality situated in the Eastern Boyacá Province within the Colombian department of Boyacá. It is located in the Tenza Valley, approximately 215 kilometres (134 mi) from Tunja, which serves as the departmental capital.
The region is characterized by a mean temperature of 18 °C (64 °F). A primary economic activity for the municipality is emerald mining.
