Chinavita is a town and municipality located in the Neira Province within the Colombian department of Boyacá. The urban center of the municipality is situated on the Altiplano Cundiboyacense, approximately 39 kilometres (24 mi) from Tunja, which serves as the departmental capital.
The municipality shares borders with several neighboring areas: Tibaná and Ramiriquí to the north; Ramiriquí and Miraflores to the east; Garagoa to the south; and Pachavita and Úmbita to the west.
