Boavita

Boavita is a town and municipality located in the Department of Boyacá in Colombia. It is situated within the subregion of the Northern Boyacá Province and lies in the Eastern Ranges of the Colombian Andes at an altitude of 2,114 metres (6,936 ft). The urban center of the municipality is positioned approximately 184 kilometres (114 mi) from Tunja, which serves as the department capital.

The municipality shares borders with several neighboring areas and geographical features. To the north, it borders Capitanejo, Santander, and the Nevado River; to the east, it is bordered by San Mateo and La Uvita; to the west lie Tipacoque and Soatá; and to the south, it borders Susacón.
