Arcabuco is a town and municipality located in the Ricaurte Province within the Colombian Department of Boyacá. It is situated on the Altiplano Cundiboyacense, with its urban center reaching an altitude of 2,739 metres (8,986 ft). The municipality is positioned approximately 34 kilometres (21 mi) north of the departmental capital, Tunja.
The town shares borders with several neighboring municipalities: Moniquirá and Gámbita to the north; Villa de Leyva and Chíquiza to the south; Cómbita to the east; and Gachantivá and Villa de Leyva to the west.
