Tibirita is a municipality and town located in the department of Cundinamarca in Colombia. It is situated on the Altiplano Cundiboyacense, positioned approximately 125 kilometres (78 mi) from the national capital, Bogotá.
The municipality shares borders with several neighboring areas: Villapinzón to the north, La Capilla in the department of Boyacá to the east, and Guateque in Boyacá to the south. To the west, it borders Manta, Machetá, and Chocontá.
