Tabio is a municipality and town located in the department of Cundinamarca in Colombia. It is situated approximately 45 km (28 mi) from the capital city of Bogotá.
The town was officially founded on April 8, 1603, by Diego Gómez de Mena on land originally owned by the native Muisca people. Tabio shares borders with Zipaquirá to the north, Cajicá to the east, Subachoque to the west, and Tenjo to the south.
