Puerto Salgar is a municipality and town located in the northwestern region of the department of Cundinamarca in Colombia.
The location gained international attention regarding its potential role in military infrastructure. It was identified as a site for the Palanquero Air Base, which entered a recertification process to potentially host U.S. military personnel as a replacement for the Manta Air Base. As of July 2009, negotiations concerning this development were ongoing.
