Pasca

Pasca is a town and municipality located in the Cundinamarca department of Colombia. Situated within the Andes mountains on the Altiplano Cundiboyacense, it belongs to the Sumapaz Province and lies approximately 71 kilometres (44 mi) from the capital city of Bogotá.

The municipality borders Fusagasugá, Sibaté, and Soacha to the north; Bogotá D.C. to the north and east; Arbeláez to the south; and Fusagasugá to the west. The urban center sits at an altitude of 2,180 metres (7,150 ft), while the overall terrain ranges from 2,000 metres (6,600 ft) to 3,500 metres (11,500 ft).

Pasca serves as a gateway to the Páramo del Sumapaz, which is recognized as the largest ecosystem of its genre in the world.
