Guatavita is a municipality and town located in the Guavio Province of the department of Cundinamarca in Colombia. It is situated approximately 75 km northeast of the national capital, Bogotá.
The town is bordered by several neighboring municipalities: Sesquilé and Machetá to the north; Gachetá and Junín to the east; Guasca to the south; and Tocancipá and Gachancipá to the west.
