Guachetá is a municipality and town located in the Ubaté Province of the department of Cundinamarca in Colombia. It is situated on the Altiplano Cundiboyacense at altitudes ranging between 2,600 metres (8,500 ft) and 3,500 metres (11,500 ft). The town is positioned approximately 118 kilometres (73 mi) from the national capital of Bogotá.
The municipality shares borders with several other regions. To the north, it borders the Boyacá municipalities of Ráquira and Samacá, while its southern boundaries meet Ubaté and Lenguazaque. The eastern border is shared with Ventaquemada and Lenguazaque, and the western side borders Fúquene and Ubaté.
