Gachetá is a municipality and town located in the department of Cundinamarca in Colombia. It serves as the capital of the Guavio Province. The urban center of the municipality is situated at an altitude of 1,745 metres (5,725 ft) within the Eastern Ranges of the Colombian Andes.
The town is bordered by several neighboring areas, including Machetá and Manta to the north, the department of Boyacá and Ubalá to the east, Gama and Junín to the south, and Guatavita to the west.
