Gachancipá is a municipality and town located in the Central Savanna Province of Colombia. It is situated within the department of Cundinamarca and sits on the Altiplano Cundiboyacense, approximately 42 kilometres (26 miles) from the capital city of Bogotá.
The urban center of the municipality is bordered by several neighboring towns: Suesca and Nemocón to the north, Tocancipá to the south, Sesquilé and Guatavita to the east, and Zipaquirá to the west.
