Facatativá is a city and municipality located in the Cundinamarca Department of Colombia. It is situated approximately 18 miles (31 km) northwest of the capital city, Bogotá, at an elevation of 2,586 meters above sea level.
The city is notably recognized for its Archaeological Park Piedras del Tunjo, which is often referred to by locals as Piedras de Tunja. This site features large rock formations that were originally the bottom of a lake.
