Cogua is a municipality and town located in the department of Cundinamarca in Colombia. It is situated on the northern part of the Bogotá savanna at an altitude of 2,600 metres (8,500 ft). The urban center of the town is positioned approximately 50 kilometres (31 mi) from the capital city of Bogotá.
The municipality shares borders with several neighboring areas: Tausa to the north, Nemocón to the east, Pacho to the west, and Zipaquirá to the south.
